Amy began her career as a licensed physical therapist in an outpatient therapy practice before transitioning into writing and editing. Her work has centered on the nonprofit, social impact, and healthcare industries, and she brings her seasoned content and writing management perspective to her patient education, care advice, and clinical integrity contributions with Schmitt-Thompson Clinical Content. Amy holds a Bachelors in Kinesiology from Indiana University School of Public Health (2001), a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University (2005), and a certificate in Writing in the Sciences from Stanford University (2015).
