After Care Instructions

Pediatric After Care Instructions

To support the Meaningful Use requirement of “encounter followed by patient education/instruction”, Dr. Schmitt developed more than 200 pediatric post call instructions. After Care Instructions provide callers with an expanded version of Care Advice; for example, what action to take and how to treat the problem at home. Most of the After Care Instructions are symptom-based (such as Cough) and some are diagnosis-based (such as Asthma).  Depending upon your software and clinical workflow, the After Care Instructions can be shared with callers via email or a web portal.

Each topic is:

  • Written at a 6th grade literacy level
  • Customizable and can be branded to reflect your organization
  • Cross-linked to the pediatric Office Hours and After Hours triage guidelines
  • Searchable by keyword

Typical clients include telemedicine companies, EMR vendors, physician practices, medical call center software vendors, medical call centers that serve hospitals, health plans, or physicians, and government programs.
