Consistent Clinical Advice at Every Contact Point

Patients/callers have four sources for decision support information: their physician’s office, a medical call center, the Internet and their smartphone. Drs. Schmitt and Thompson recognized the need for consistent clinical content for each scenario and have authored protocol sets for use by several different audiences.

Although the clinical information sets are written for distinctly different audiences, the triage questions and care advice are consistent and drive similar actions based upon presenting symptoms.
